Display ads

Banner and similar visual units bought on impressions, often 300x250 on the open exchange. Not search. Not a Meta feed unit.

Published 2026-09-09 · Search job: what are display ads

Display ads are visual units (banners, and sometimes native or other IAB formats) shown on sites and apps. The common first test on Adprime Zero is a 300x250 image on open-exchange remnant. You buy impressions, usually on CPM. The person did not type a query into your keyword list.

That is a different job from Google Ads search or a Meta feed ad. Do not import leftover-banner CTR into those products, and do not import their click definitions here.

Display remnant is easy to misread. Our August 2026 Supply Bench pull found 93.4 percent of placements with zero clicks taking 64 percent of observed spend, and seven domains producing 41.3 percent of clicks. Judge arrival and, once tagged, IVT. Do not celebrate a normal CTR.

The ad still needs one promise and a matching page. See isolated funnels.
