Template variants inside one promise

Landing page template testing keeps the angle fixed and changes the persuasion model. Short-direct, interactive-planner, and pain-led are three styles for the same sentence, not three new promises.

This page is a plan, not a result. We have not judged this test yet. The protocol is here so the next flight can be read. Numbers below are setup notes or prior adjacent evidence, never a claim that this test already ran.

Landing page template testing asks whether the same promise converts better as a short ask, a planner, or a pain story. The angle does not move. The page style does.

The June 2026 plan separates page style from copy. A page style is the layout and persuasion model. The same message should be tested across multiple styles because some visitors need a short account path and others need a concrete workflow before they give an email.

Three families to run first, inside one angle:

  • short-direct: tight hero, proof chips, capture above the fold, three-step workflow, second CTA.
  • interactive-planner: asks product URL, audience, budget, and email before showing a suggested first test.
  • pain-led (pain-led-narrative): problem framing, old way versus Adprime Zero way, use case proof, capture, CTA.

Other families exist in the registry (tool-specific, checklist-playbook, technical-quickstart, report-benchmark, old-way-new-way-comparison). They are not required for the first template split.

What stays frozen

In a template split, targeting, creative promise, angle, and primary job stay stable enough to read the style effect. Copy variants inside a template (outcome-first, pain-first, proof-first) are a different split. If you change the hero sentence and the layout in the same cell, you did not test the template.

Name the cell so the template segment is visible: ai-chat-control__tech-business__desktop-web__short-direct__w1 versus the same prefix with interactive-planner or pain-led-narrative.

Why this is a plan

No judged Adprime Zero wave has published a winner among these three styles. The readiness note in the publishing inventory is "after next flight." This page is the protocol, not a result.

When that flight runs, report visit rate, email capture, signup start, and account creation by template, inside one angle, on comparable targeting. Do not declare short-direct the winner because it ran on the best inventory cell.

Until then, do not ship three promises disguised as three templates. Repeat the sentence. Change the skeleton.
