Pacing
Spreading a daily budget through the day. On this seat it is CPM_PACED plus daily pacing. Lifetime pacing wants an end date.

Pacing is how spend is spread over time so a daily budget does not finish in the first hour.
On the exchange behind Adprime Zero, pacing is a property of the bidding strategy. CPM is not paced. CPM_PACED is. Setting pacing: daily on plain CPM returns an error that looks like a seat refusal. It is not. Daily pacing is the mode that matches a prepaid campaign that may have no end date. Lifetime pacing requires an end date.
Even pacing and a daily cap are different. The cap is the ceiling. Pacing is the shape under the ceiling. Running a product-side budget slice and exchange daily pacing at the same time can stop delivery: the exchange paces inside a slice that is already small.
We built a product pacer during the months we thought the seat could not pace. New campaigns can use native CPM_PACED. The correction is in exchange pacing available.
Pacing is not dayparting. One is our money on our clock. The other is the viewer's local time.
