Daily cap

The most a campaign or account may spend in a UTC day. Optional lifetime caps must not be silently rewritten as one day of budget.

A daily cap is the spend ceiling for one UTC day. On Adprime Zero it is a product control on the campaign (and an account-level starter cap on pricing). When the cap is hit, the campaign pauses and waits for the next day if it is still funded. That paused state is normal for a fixed-daily test, not an outage.

Daily cap is not lifetime cap. Lifetime is optional. When you omit it, the campaign is supposed to spend until you pause it or the prepaid wallet runs out, inside a multi-day exchange envelope. A past bug coalesced a missing lifetime number to the daily number, so a "no lifetime cap" campaign died after one day on the exchange. That is fixed. See the lifetime envelope changelog.

Do not raise a daily cap to make a metric look better. The daily operator loop treats budget increases as a different decision from a targeting change.

The wallet is a second ceiling. A $20 daily campaign with a nearly empty prepaid balance will stop when the wallet is empty, even if the daily cap still has room.
