Landing page

The page a click should open. For a test it must repeat the ad promise. A homepage that does every job will hide the result.

A landing page is the document the ad click opens. In product language the URL plus its review is the destination. In test language the page is the other half of the creative.

Send a first paid test to a page that repeats one promise. If the banner says you can launch from Cursor, the H1 should say that, and the button should continue that job. Mixing "no sales call," "API quickstart," and "run ads from chat" on the homepage is how a $20/day cell becomes unreadable.

Destination checks may still pass a generic homepage. Passing review means the URL may run. It does not mean the funnel is isolated.

Measure visits separately from exchange clicks. Click-to-page-view needs a join. A page that never logs a visit cannot teach you whether remnant clicks arrived.

Use the isolated funnel checklist before you spend, and the Lab piece on isolated funnels for why we stopped sending paid clicks to the homepage.
