CPC
Cost per click. A ratio you can compute from spend and clicks, or a pricing mode. On remnant display the click is a weak object.
Published 2026-09-09 · Search job: what is CPC advertising
CPC is cost per click: spend divided by delivery clicks, or a buying mode that prices against clicks instead of impressions.
On Adprime Zero remnant tests we usually buy CPM and then compute CPC as a readout. A computed CPC can look ordinary while the clicks come from a handful of domains. That is the same trap as CTR. The August 2026 Supply Bench slice had seven domains at 41.3 percent of clicks from 4.7 percent of impressions. A fleet-level CPC would have hidden that.
Delivery clicks on this seat are the Reporting API clicks plural field. Snapshot rows may store clicks as zero on purpose. Do not build CPC from a mixed sum that double-counts spend or drops clicks.
CPC is not click-to-page-view. A cheap click that never reaches your page is not a cheap visit. Use click-to-page-view when you care about arrival.
We will not quote an industry-average display CPC. We do not have one we trust, and invented averages are how this publication would become fiction.
