Self-serve DSP vs prepaid agent buying
A self-serve DSP is a trafficking UI on a seat. Adprime Zero is prepaid agent advertising on dashboard, API, CLI, and MCP. Honest scope, not a Trade Desk comparison chart.

"Self-serve DSP" usually means a browser UI on an exchange seat: campaigns, line items, deals, lists, and a planner that assumes you already know programmatic.
Adprime Zero is not that product. It is prepaid agent advertising. You fund a wallet, submit ads, and operate from a dashboard or from an agent. The public surfaces are REST, ztdsp, MCP, and the website. There is no IO and no sales call to start. There is also no claim that you are sitting in The Trade Desk, DV360, or a full Beeswax Buzz console.
If a comparison page tells you we are "the DSP for startups," it is selling the wrong object. We compile buyer campaigns onto an exchange seat. We do not give you the seat.
What a self-serve DSP is for
A DSP UI is for people who traffic. They think in insertion orders even when the UI hides the PDF. They build line items, attach deals, curate lists, and argue about pacing and frequency with an account team. That work is real. QPS traffic templates, private marketplaces, and custom bidding agents still live there. See when you still want a trader.
Self-serve in that world still expects DSP literacy. The "self" is "without a managed-service team," not "without knowing what an inventory source is."
What prepaid agent buying is for
Prepaid agent buying is for a founder or an agent that can follow a public API. The account spends only what you funded. Daily caps are product controls. Creative and destination checks are product controls. The agent requests a funding link instead of taking a card.
You can create targeting, submit a 300x250, attach approved creatives to a campaign, pause a variant, and copy a cell without opening an exchange UI. You cannot, from this product, redesign the seat's QPS intake or stand up a custom bidding agent.
That limit is the product. It is why a first test can start without a demo. It is also why we will not win a feature matrix against a DSP.
Honest gaps
We do not lead with DSP terminology on cold pages, and we should not hide it here. Open-exchange remnant is the default path we have actually flown. Deals exist on the wider seat world and have not been the child-product default. Bid modifiers and delivery modifiers are seat-real and not a buyer-facing workflow yet. Domain excludes still need list objects. Placement and site excludes are direct keys and are the grain Supply Audit can act on.
Measurement is another gap you should hear before a signup. Until a vendor tag is on the creative, IVT and viewability report as zero because nothing is measuring. We publish concentration and click-to-page-view instead. The August 2026 Supply Bench slice is in the wave scorecard.
Which one to open
Open a DSP if you already have a trader, a deal, or a reason to live in line items all day.
Open Adprime Zero if you want an agent to launch a prepaid display test today and you accept remnant as the classroom. API-first media buying is the same product from the integration side.
Do not open both expecting the dashboards to agree on clicks. Exchange reporting, snapshot rows, and first-party visits are different meters. Ask for clicks plural and a freshness field before you reconcile anything.
